- - 80486 or better MPC 2 compatible computer
- - 8 MB RAM
- - at least 256 color VGA board (640x480),
- for optimum color presentation are 16 bit
- color depth recommended
- - CD-ROM drive (double-speed)

- Software requirements:
- - MS Windows 3.1 or higher
- - QuickTime for Windows 2.03 or higher (QT 2.03 on CD-ROM)

- How to install QuickTime:
- Choose Run from the File Menu. Type "D:\QT_INST.EXE" ,
- where D: is your CD-ROM drive and click OK.

- Getting "100 Masterpieces" started:
-
- First make sure QuickTime is installed.

- Microsoft Windows 3.1
- Choose Run from the File Menu. Type "D:\START.EXE" ,
- where D: is your CD-ROM drive and click OK.

- Microsoft Windows 95:
- The CD-ROM "100 Masterpieces" is provided with an
- auto-start.
- After inserting the CD-ROM, the application is loaded
- automatically. You can stop the auto-start function by
- pushing the shift button while the CD is inserted.
- By clicking the CD icon with the right mouse button,
- you can activate either start "100 Masterpieces", the
- QuickTime installation program or the 'Read me' file.
- In case you receive an error message during the auto-start
- function, quit "100 Masterpieces" and install
- QuickTime for Windows before restarting the application.

- Getting "100 Masterpieces" to stop:
- Click the quit button in the application (found on the
- rotating chair), or push the ESCAPE key (not recommended).

- Options:
- After the introductory animation, you can choose to view the
- Museum QuickTime VR movie in either low, or high resolution.
- The default setting is "high resolution".
- If some problems occur, or if panning in the QuickTime VR scene
- is very slow, restart "100 Masterpieces" and choose the "low
- Resolution" viewing mode.
